Everybody around the world, rich or poor, has to do things that they do not enjoy doing.
However, most of these are necessary as a part of one’s responsibility, or place in life.
For a child, he or she may not enjoy sitting for exams or visiting the doctor or dentist, but it is his responsibility to do so.
For adults, too, no one enjoys paying tax and giving away a percentage of their salary.
Many may even want to stay at home rather than going to work.
However, it is their responsibility. Excuses exist just to explain, or most likely to cover up, irresponsibility.
Responsibilities are the appendage of rights and freedoms that you enjoy.
It is something you have no choice but to fulfil as a child, as an adult, as a citizen and, as a human being, no matter if you enjoy it or not.
Bob Dylan once said, “a hero is someone who understands the responsibility that comes with his freedom.” |
